I began medical school at Ege University in 2013 and completed my specialty training in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine.
What I took from Cerrahpaşa was a reconstructive foundation before an aesthetic one. That order matters. Reconstructive surgery teaches you how tissue actually behaves — how it heals, how it scars, where it will and won't tolerate tension. Aesthetic surgery built on that foundation tends to age better, because it works with the anatomy rather than against it.
My approach to planning follows from that. I assess your bone structure, skin thickness and tissue quality first, then discuss what those allow. Sometimes that means recommending a smaller change than a patient came in asking for, or advising against a procedure altogether. I would rather have that conversation before surgery than after it.
I also think the recovery conversation deserves as much time as the surgical one. Most disappointment after aesthetic surgery comes from an unclear picture of the first six weeks, not from the operation itself.
I practise in Istanbul and treat patients from Turkey and abroad. Consultations are available in Turkish and English.
